LEO SCARIN - DATA DEGROWTH: CLEANING A 'HOME' IN OUR HANDS

“Data Degrowth: cleaning a 'home' in our hands” is a design thinking workshop exploring methods and rituals to clean up the data storage in our smartphones.Together, we look into theoretical framework of digital file management, Cloud services & data footprint, touching upon their political and ecological aspects. Then we review our own data habits and design custom rituals of “data cleansing”.

Leo Scarin

Leo Scarin is an artist and technologist. In their work, Leo researches the social, political, and increasingly ecological impact of technology. Leo's research informs a multidisciplinary artistic practice encountering new media, interaction design, immersive installations, and experimental videomaking. As part of their practice, Leo regulary holds creative technology workshops and lectures in the Netherlands.
