As sound practitioner Loma Doom, her signature style revolves around electronic experimentalism — seeking the outliers, avoiding linearity, and crafting a space where intuition and understanding might meet. Using radio and archives as her main media, she is currently focused on various notions of listening, particularly how these modes can function as a political call to action. As Loma Doom, Dekker has played extensively on the underground DJ circuit, performing sets at venues including Salon Des Amateurs, Meakusma and Dekmantel among others. Parallel to her sonic practice, Dekker has a multi-faceted practice as contemporary arts curator and educator. She is part of the core team of online arts radio Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee, is a guest tutor at Sandberg Instituut and the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague and is an artistic research fellow for the Amsterdam based Visual Methodologies Collective.

When not behind the decks, Dekker is a contemporary arts educator, teaching as a (guest) tutor at Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam, Design Academy Eindhoven and KABK, and is an artistic research fellow for the Amsterdam based Visual Methodologies Collective.
