Inside the Out of Place exhibition, collective.wasteland and TENT will host a mini-series of two reading circles together with participating artists of the exhibition to explore our current and future relationships with waste, ecology and the city.

Present by Nature sets out to experience and comprehend the natural ecosystems surrounding us, parting from the human-like attitudes and learning adaptation from inadaptation. This reading circle will tangle voices that inspire us to unlearn the hierarchical structures we daily partake, reminding us that the forest is not just habitat but a world (Ursula K. Le Guin), showing how contamination is also collaboration (Anna Tsing), transitioning toward pluriversality and the redesign of the self (Arturo Escobar), subverting the concept of weird through navigational play (Jonaya Kemper).

The texts will be distributed and read together at each event, so no preparation is required.
