Miriam Sentler

About

Miriam Sentler (NL/NO) is a contemporary artist and researcher based in Norway. Her work explores mining and energy histories, focusing on the social and environmental realities of extractive landscapes. Through long-term research, she creates installations, performances, audio, textiles, videos, publications, and essays. Inspired by her family’s coal-mining past in Limburg, her practice addresses themes of belonging, myth-making, transformation, and sacrifice in (post)industrial contexts. She co-founded the Deep Time Agency artistic research initiative in 2019.
